Lisa Shover
Working to create greater communities for tomorrow

Shover is co-founder and Vice President of K Group and has 20 years experience as a marketing executive and community leader. Shover received her Bachelors of Arts in Journalism from the University of Arizona in 1982 and then opened the Public Relations Division for Cramer-Krasselt. Her clients included Salt River Project, First Interstate Bank of Arizona, Phoenix Motor Company-Mercedes Benz, Arvin Industries, Kentucky Fried Chicken (Arizona and New Mexico), Phoenix Symphony Orchestra and Ronald McDonald House of Phoenix.

In 1985, Lisa became the Marketing Director for Pinnacle Peak Land Company where she internalized the marketing function. She developed and implemented an advertising, public relations, and word of mouth marketing campaign to “Put Peak on the Map”. Concurrently, she introduced Troon Golf & Country Club, Pinnacle Peak Development Company, Pinnacle Peak Realty, Oaxaca, Vincent’s French Cuisine, and Pinnacle Peak Village. While developing Troon, an ancient Hohokam Ruin was discovered. Lisa interfaced with A.S.U. to ensure the ruins were properly managed, cataloged and marked -- resulting in a successful rezoning of Troon North.

In 1988, Lisa founded Shover Communications specializing in public relations, advertising and partnership marketing. Her clients included The First Great Arizona Duck Race, Phoenix & Valley of the Sun Convention & Visitors Bureau, Linthicum Constructors, Inc., Ancala Country Club, Barnet Center of Ophthalmology, Phoenix Boys Choir and Scottsdale Chrysalis Shelter. While working with Chrysalis Shelter, Lisa headed Scottsdale Mayor Drinkwater’s Task Force to relocate the Shelter and directed its $1.5 million capital campaign.

Shover merged her firm with K Group in 1994. Since that time, Lisa has worked with a number of local and international clients including the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust, Central Newspapers, Inc., Indianapolis Newspapers, Inc., The Arizona Republic, City of Scottsdale, Automated Data Processing, Time Warner International, Arabian Horse Association of Arizona, Stardust Foundation, Whispering Hope Ranch Foundation, and The Salvation Army.

Lisa served as Chairman of the Arizona Humane Society for 5 years where she directed a $14 million capital campaign that was completed in 2½ years for the 20-acre Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion. She also successfully lobbied SHOKA’s Law in 1998 that enacted much needed legislation to regulate Arizona pet stores.

She also has served on the Arizona Community Foundation Board of Directors, the Northern Arizona University Foundation board, Habitat for Humanity, the Volunteer Center, and the Ronald McDonald House.
